299,260. Fales & Jenks Machine Co., and Matthews, A. T. March 26, 1928. Spindle apparatus. -In a ring spinning - or twisting frame, the rail 1 is formed with an oil chamber 5 extending downwardly therein from its upper face, arranged between the front edge of the rail and the ring 3, and the rail and ring are provided with registering passages 6, 7 of diameter less than the depth of the chamber, leading from near the bottom of the chamber to the inner surface of the ring, a wick 8 coiled in the chamber having its end extending through the passages 6, 7 for lubricating the traveller 4.
