284,064. Kenyon &. Son, Ltd., J., and Marshall, R. S. Dec. 28, 1926. Winding-machines. - In machines for winding yarn on to cops and pirns wherein the yarn is laid on the nose of the cop by a traversing guide carried on a traverse screw and moved therealong by a progression wheel device, the necessary pressure during winding being applied to the guide by a spring, a spring g<1>, anchored to a sleeve g slidable on a rod H parallel to the traverse screw D, is connected to a forwardly extending arm K of the guide bracket C. A spring M is provided to retard the movement of the bracket C on the screw D.
