276,642. Akt.-Ges. Brown, Boveri, et Cie. Aug. 25, 1926, [Convention date]. Impeller blades for centrifugal compressors are reduced in weight by the provision of inclined holes 1 arranged as shown, some extending right through a blade, and others extending from either side alternately so that material is left at opposite sides for forming by milling oppositely-disposed pairs of rivets 2, by means of which the blades are secured to the rotor discs. Blades formed with holes arranged parallel to the rotor axis are also referred to.
