Abstract

251,659. Akt.-Ges. Brown, Boveri, et Cie. May 2, 1925, [Convention date]. Impeller blades.-Blades 1 for the rotor wheels of centrifugal compressors have transverse and longitudinal ribs 5, 6 and are secured to the rotor discs by rivets 3. The ribs are provided only on the side of the blade facing the centre of the wheel, and they are covered with a sheet 17 of metal bent round the inner edge of the blade and secured by a rivet 19. The blades are composed of light metal and may be made in sections which can be arranged to form passages of any desired shape.
