Abstract

212,488. Collins, C. E. Aug. 9, 1923. Impeller blades.-The blades of a rotary farr are made of a material produced from a cellulose acetate base, such as that known under the registered trade mark " Celastoid." The blades 6 are secured by rivets 7 to the radial arms 3 of a member mounted upon the hub 1. The ends of the hub 1, rivets 7 and the radial arms are provided with a covering of the same material as the blades. Stiffening plates 11 may be secured at the back of the blades. In a modification, the hub, arms, and blades are moulded in one piece, the blades being formed in their inclined positions and having strengthening ribs.
