Abstract

Gas, supplying by meter; indicators.-A wheel A fixed to a spindle B is rotated by usual coin mechanism, the spindle B having fixed to it an arm C in which a spindle F carrying pinions E, D rotates. The pinions E, D mesh respectively with pinions G, K loosely mounted on the spindle B, the pinion G carrying a cam disc H, which opens the valve when the arm C is rotated after prepayment. A worm L driven by the meter rotates a worm wheel J carried by the pinion K which through the pinion D, E rotates the disc H in the opposite direction to close the valve. The pinion G rotates a wheel M engraved at M<1> to indicate by means of a pointer R fixed to the casing S the amount of gas prepaid. The wheel M has attached to it a pin. N which when the maximum number of coins have been inserted, obstructs movement of the arm C and prevents another coin from being inserted until some gas has been consumed.
