Abstract
273,820. British Celanese, Ltd., and Ellis, G. H. April 10, 1926. Addition to 219,349. Dye preparations. - Insoluble or difficultlysoluble dyestuffs or components for use in dyeing, printing or stencilling goods made with or containing cellulose acetate are solubilized by pretreatment with soluble resin soaps or sodium or other soluble salts or soaps of resin acids, preferably as free as possible from free alkali. In addition to the dyestuffs or components (bases and developers) mentioned in the parent Specification, those specified in Specifications 224,681, 227,183, 237,943, 253,978, and 263,260, or other insoluble or relatively insoluble dyestuffs or components may be treated. The manufacture of a 25 per cent resin soap from pale commercial resin and caustic soda is described, and the following dyestuffs are solubilized thereby in examples :-1-amino-4-methylaminoanthraquinone, 1-amino - 2 - methylanthraquinone, 2 : 4-dinitro-4<1>-oxydiphenylamine, and p - nitrobenzeneazodiphenylamine. Specification 224,925 also is referred to.
