263,579. Imray, O. Y., (Soc. of Chemical Industry in Basle). Oct. 28, 1925. Dye preparation.-Dye preparations for dyeing acetyl cellulose are prepared by treating insoluble colours, such as azo dyestuffs, quinophthalone, indophenols, anthraquinone derivatives or nitro-compounds for example nitrodiarylamines, with sulphite cellulose lye to render them colloidal. Soap or sulphonated soap may also be mixed with the preparations. Examples show the treatment of a number of dyestuffs of the above types. Specification 214,330, [Class 15 (ii), Dyeing, Processes &c. for], is referred to.
