Combined buffer and draw-gear. - In draft. gear for railway vehicles in which the draw-bar 5 is connected with the draft yoke 6 by a key 7 passing transversely through the yoke and through a slot 9 in the draw.bar, the end wall of the slot provides two bearing faces a, b for the key which are disposed at an angle to each other. The other wall of the slot may also be provided with similar hearing surfaces diagonally opposed. The surface a is at right angles to the centre line of the draw-bar 5 and the surface b is at right angles to the line through the point of attach. ment of the transition coupling means which is spaced laterally of the centre line through the coupler head.
