Abstract

268,540. Stewart & Co., Ltd., D., and Holmes, T. E. March 16, 1926. Shearing.-A shearing - machine comprises a block 3 inclined to correspond with the upper blade, whereby the piece of metal cut off is prevented from curling. Ejectors 4 with inclined top edges are yieldingly supported by a hanging weight 9 through levers 8, 5, the ejectors rising on the ascent of the upper blade to discharge the scrap to a conveyor 11 by which it is transferred to a furnace charging box.
