472,517. Railway switch points. HOCHUMER VEREIN FUR GUSSSTAHLFABRIKATION AKT.-GES. Jan. 8, 1937, No. 596. Convention date, March 16, 1936. [Class 104 (i)] The stock rail B adjacent a point rail Z is slightly raised above its normal level from the point a<1>, Fig. 3, to the point b<1> in proportion to the slope of the running surface of the wheels, so that, as the wheels move off the stock rail on to the point rail, the wheels are partly supported by the stock rail until they are clear of the latter. From the point b<1> the rail B gradually descends to normal level.
