[Class 47 (ii)] [Also in Group I] A device for diffusing stone or other inert dust in the atmosphere of mines, consists of a container A for the dust, and a bell-like closure C which rests on the dust and is free to descend in the container as the level of the dust therein descends. Compressed air is supplied to the container by a flexible pipe D, and a cloud of dust is expelled by the air pressure through apertures E in the closure. The container has handles B for carrying purposes.
