266,259. Metropolitan-Vickers Electrical Co., Ltd., (Assignees of Bethel, C.). April 12, 1926, [Convention date]. Addition to 261,011. Flexible toothed wheels.-The rim 4 and hub 1 of a flexible toothed wheel are interconnected by a compression spring 6 engaged by lugs 15 on the rim and lugs 16 on the hub, so that, whatever the direction of drive, the springs are tightened frictionally upon the rim, the spring reaction increasing rapidly with increased deflection. A hole in the wheel portion allows oil to pass from a gear casing to the spring. Gears made of different diameters by increasing the thickness of their rim portions may be used with the same hub and spring.
