Spindle apparatus.-The drag cord for the bobbins of spinning - machines having positively driven spindles comprises a leather or other inextensible part g in contact with the bobbin and flexible and resilient members f f<1> such as rubber respectively attached to the builder plate by a rivet and by an adjustable book, the resilient members being tensioned to a greater extent as the speed of the bobbin increases due to its tendency to press laterally against the spindle. The bobbin may be mounted as described in Specification 263,910.
