Abstract
262,045. Pairard, P. Nov. 26, 1925, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Indicating successive positions of levels electrically.-The water level in steam boilers is indicated, and the boiler feed may be controlled, bv means of a series of electric contacts, the circuits of which are completed by the water as it rises. A vessel 1 connected to the boiler is provided with a series of contacts in the form of insulated rods 6 carrying parallel discs 7. The rods 6 may be the central electrodes of sparking plugs 8. A lamp 10 is connected in the circuit of each contact, and is lit as the circuit is completed by the water reaching the contact. A solenoid 11 may be connected in shunt across each lamp, and a movable core 12 within all the solenoids may actuate a valve 14 controlling the supply of feed water to the boiler.
