Abstract

352,175. Egg-cooking apparatus, BECKER, K. L., Villingen, Baden, Germany. May 22, 1930, No. 15752. [Class 28 (i).] In an electric eggcooker, the eggs are supported on a plate 5 and are cooked by steam generated from water by two electrodes 7, 8 immersed therein. The time of cooking is determined by the quantity oi water inserted intc graduated filling funnel 3. The electrode 8 is provided with a sleeve into which the pin 11 is screwed, the pin 11 being connected to a plug-in pin 12. The electrode 7 is spaced from the electrode 8 by an insulating member 9 and is similarly screwed on to a, pin 10 connected to the other plug-in pin 12. The pin 10 also serves for retaining the bottom plate 13. The electrode 7 is protected by a perforated porcelain member 6 which has hooked projections 17 which engage the electrode 7 in such manner that the electrode must be removed from the pin 10 before the member 6 can be detached.
