878,687. Egg &c. cooking. CABLE, R. G. Oct. 30, 1959, No. 36951/59. Class 28 (1). Eggs &c. resting on rod racks 6, 7 clear of bottom liquid are cooked by e.g. an immersion heater 4 and timed by a clockwork rotated insulated cam 11 preset by a knob so that a recess 13 in the cam allows an abutment 18 to be pulled up into the recess 13 to break the circuit 22-23 and open the lid by a spring 16 which pivots the lever 15 about 19<SP>1</SP> and pulls the rod 17 to pivot open the lid. A bell 19 or a light may indicate the end of the cooking. The rods 6, 7 may be rotated from the clockwork to turn over the food.
