Abstract

260,379. Arbon, P. Aug. 24, 1925. Glands and caps.-A valve for controlling the outflow from oil wells comprises a valve body 5 on a stem 6 which passes through a cover 22 and gland cap 28. 'The cover has a rim 21 seating in a recess 20 in the valve casing, and a groove 26 for a packing-ring, which, together with the gasket 36, is kept in place by a cap 28. The gland cap 28 is bolted to the cover 22.
