Abstract
260,005. Geles, E. Oct. 19, 1925, [Convention date]. Aerials.-A closed-circuit aerial, particularly suitable for use on aeroplanes, comprises a central wire surrounded by a closed tube. The central wire may be completely separated from or connected directly to the top of the tube; or it may be capacity-coupled with the tube as shown in the Figure. The outer tube screens all radiation from the inner wire. The system functions practically as an ordinary open aerial with small ohmic losses. No earth or counterpoise is required. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) the outer tube may consist of a number of separate wires. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
