257,098. Price, D. E. Aug. 22, 1925. Discharging devices for endless chain conveyers; troughs; sectional framework; guiding.- Articles such as stereoplates are conveyed by chains which are preferably flexible in both horizontal and vertical planes and travel along the bottoms of channel-section guides 2 formed on a number of base plates 3 and let into the floor so as to be flush therewith. The guides 2 are strengthened by webs 3<a> and the base plates are bolted together. Each chain may rest on a layer 6 of wood, fibre, or rubber fitted in the base of the guide. At curved parts of the track, the guides are made narrower and undercut grooves 7, Fig. 3, are formed in the inner guide member 2a to receive rollers or other projections on the chains. A stereoplate &c. 8 is removed from the track by engaging an abutment 11 on a platform 9 pivotally supported by parallel links 10.
