Abstract

253,935. Halden, C. Ab-Der-. June 22, 1925, [Convention date]. Addition to 239,841. Hydrocarbons, distilling.- Tar, preheated by the residues from the distillation, as described in the parent Specification is supplied to the still 1 by a pipe 9<1> which dips into the residue in the still, in order that steam generated from the water in the tar may assist in carrying over the volatile products. The tar is forced by a pump 5 through a coil 6 contained in a tank through which the residual liquid from the still 1 passes by a pipe 7.
