Abstract

253,371. Salter, G. July 13, 1925. Pistons, balancing laterally.-Piston shaft, particularly of an aluminium piston, is prevented by means of a flanged plate 6, curved to the contour of the piston, and projecting through a gap in the skirt in a diameter at right-angles to the gudgeon pin. The plate is pressed outwards by a spring 7, of inverted U shape, secured at one end to the plate and at the other end to the skirt. The outward movement of the plate is limited by the flanges 10.
