252,680. Maschinenfabrik Augsburg- Nurnberg Akt.-Ges. May 26, 1925, [Convention date]. Inking-apparatus. - An inking-apparatus for a cylinder printing-machine comprises a primary set of distributing-rollers driven continuously in one direction, a set of forme-inking and distributing rollers driven by the reciprocating bed of the machine, and an intermediate set of rollers mounted in an oscillating frame and serving to transfer the ink from the first set of rollers to the second, and to assist in the working up of the ink. The primary set comprises the drum a and rollers b, c, d which receive ink by a vibrating roller e from an ink-table f and are continuously driven in one direction by a gear v. This gear also drives the drum g of a set of transfer rollers g, h, i, k mounted on a pivoted frame l which is oscillated bv a cam once for each printing operation to transfer ink to one roller p of a set of distributing and inking rollers m - - u. The frame l may swing about the axis of the gear v. In a modification, the drum g is driven by a gear which drives the inking-rollers and the frame l is pivoted about the axis of that gear.
