Abstract

Walls.-A building is formed of a wooden framework erected on a concrete foundation and concrete slabs of length equal to the spacing of the vertical timbers 5 are placed between the uprights. Cross-pieces 11 of width equal to the thickness of the slabs connect the wooden uprights at intervals and the ends of the slabs are bevelled to engage between fillets 7 secured to the uprights. The walls may be, faced internally with asbestos sheets and externally with weather boarding, tiling or the like. The walls may be hollow.
