Abstract

240,060. Stott, A. H. Feb. 9, 1925. Yarns, warping.-A device for braking the bobbins in warping or other creels comprises a looped friction band f, which engages and supports a pulley g fixed on the bobbin or upon the spindle. The other end of the spindle is supported in a fixed bearing d, or, as shown in dotted lines, by a similar looped band; in the latter case, one of the pulleys g is screwed or keyed on the spindle to allow the bobbin to be removed and replaced, or both pulleys may be carried by the bobbin, or one may be carried by the bobbin and the other by the spindle. The ends of the band are secured to an adjustable hook or slide, or to an adjustable bracket i by means of a clip h and screw. The upright a is provided with guides n to support the spindle laterally.
