Catches, spring; stud-andsocket fastenings.-A fastening for attachÚ and like cases comprises a hookshaped stud 1 on one part engaged by a bevelled projection 14 on a latch 7 on the other part, the latch having an abutment 17 so that as the latch is withdrawn it engages an incline 16 on the stud and presses it upwards. Instead of the abutment 17 a small roller may be mounted on the latch. A key-operated locking tumbler 21 may be provided.
