207,933. Duncan, R. H. Oct. 4, 1922. Tampering with, preventing.-A device for locking a box of the type described in Specification 142,966, comprises a hollow cylinder 4 in which a bolt 6, carrying a hasp 7, can be slid, the hasp 7 being pressed into engagement with a staple 13 on the lid by a spring 9. A plate 15 having a tongue-piece 16 is fitted over the end of the cylinder 4 to prevent the bolt being illicitly pressed inwardly to release the hasp and the whole device is covered by a sealing strip which is passed over a loop 18 and secured within the box.
