Abstract
229,609. Polhemus, L. E. Nov. 8, 1924. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Small-arms combined with knives; breech actions, sliding breech-block; stocks; barrels.-A knife is attached to a pistol, below the barrel, in such a way that it can be used while attached to the pistol or can be detached therefrom for use. As shown, the knife 29, of ordinary pocket knife type, is attached at the rear by a pin 33 which forms the pivot of the trigger 32, and at the front by a spring clip 9, Fig. 5, embracing the barrel 2. The pivot pin 33 can be pressed out after the removal of a side cover-plate of the stock. The pistol comprises a barrel 2 and stock 1 made in one piece, and a rotary lock breech-bolt 12 adapted to be operated by the cocking piece 24. The stock is provided with sideplates of hard rubber or the like. The sear 26 is mounted on a blade spring 27 and is engaged by the hooked end 34 of the trigger lever.
