229,110. Lobnitz & Co., Ltd., (Robinson, A. W.). March 6, 1924. Grab-buckets.-In grabs which are forced positively into the material by a downward movement of a jib, boom, &c., the jaws 8, 8<a> are connected by links 6, 6<a> to an inextensible sleeve 4 suspended from the jib, &c. 1 by a universal joint 2, 3. The jaws are pivotally connected to a socket 11 in which is fixed a rod 12 movable in the sleeve 4 and suspended by a rope 13 connected to a winding drum. The rope passes round a pulley 14 on the rod 12 and a duplex pulley 15 on the sleeve 4.
