Strainer separators.-The lower part 8<1> of the strainer drum 8 of a centrifugal dryer is bulged out to counteract the tendency of the contents to rise. The drum is mounted on a disc 7 on the spindle 6 in the pedestal 1, and to the outside of the drum flange is fixed a ring 9 provided with Pelton buckets. Water is supplied to the nozzle 11 to drive the extractor.
