Abstract
224,368. Masters, E., and Gibbons Bros., Ltd. Oct. 29, 1923. Bricks, special shapes of.-Tubular bricks employed for the construction of gas or air passages in regenerative furnaces have openings 1, Fig. 1, in one face and openings 2 in the opposite face, the openings in one face being opposite the bridge-like connections 3 of the other face. In a modification, single openings 5, Fig. 4, are made in opposite walls near the ends of the brick. In another modification, two types of bricks are assembled to form the passages shown in Fig. 6. One type 7 has an opening 8 in the centre of one face and the other type 9 has short openings 10 in opposite faces at the ends of the brick. Specification 6847/12 is referred to.
