Bricks, special shapes of. -A brick for hot-blast stoves &c. is provided with a plurality of passages a for the hot gases and the blast, a portion d' of one end being cut away in order to provide a lateral interconnection of such passages. The block is of polygonal form in cross section, and the passages are uniformly distributed over the cross sectional area. A projection is provided at one end of the brick and a corresponding rscess at the other end. Parts b are cut away at the corners or at the middle of the sides.
