Lubricant conveyed by mechanical means.-A lubricating device for the axles of railway or the like vehicles comprises a slotted tubular support 8, a pair of feed rollers 4 carried by a shaft 5 passing through the slots in the support 8 and pressed against the journal 1 by a spring, and lateral splash sheets 11 secured to projections 10 on the support 8. The sheets 11 are connected at their ends by sheets 12.
