Lubricant conveyed by mechanical means.- Fixed apparatus for lubricating corve or like vehicle axles comprises a brush or pad carried on a lever C connected between its ends to a lever B pivoted at B<1> in a tank A, the other end of the lever C being connected to links D pivoted at D' in the tank. An extension of the lever B bears against an adjustable spring E, Fig. 2, or carries a counterweight W, Fig. 6. As an axle engages the lever B, the brush is first depressed into the oil in the tank and then rises to lubricate the axle.
