Abstract
213,616. British Thomson-Houston Co., Ltd., (Assignees of Kienle, R. H.). March 30, 1923, [Convention date]. Extrusion machines.-The wire 12 to be coated passes from a reel 18 through a bath of cleansing liquid 37, through a tank 10 of enamel having perforated walls, through a drying oven 35, round a pulley 30, back underneath the tank 10, over a pulley 23, through the tank again and so on, finally passing to a tension device and wind-up spool 33. The holes in the tank are fitted with dies. The dies at the inlets are of ordinary form with rounded or bevelled edges. Those at the exit holes are of the form shown in Fig. 3, and are made of hard material.
