212,462. Everett, J. F., Schmidt, B. F., Ford, G. W., and Burrows, C. F. May 23, 1923. Washing-machines with enclosed rotary receptacles.-The perforated receptacle B of a spherical washing- machine is provided with circular ribs 24, 25 disposed in planes at rightangles and adapted in succession to raise the articles through half a revolution. In their descent the clothes fall upon and are spread laterally by an annular rib 30 arranged at rightangles to the axis of rotation and midway between the trunnions 15, 16. The ribs 24, 25 are connected to the trunnions by the tongue and groove. The receptacle is driven by a motor 18 through 1 to 8 gearing 20, 19.
