Abstract

211,721. Harris, J., and Fletcher, G. March 14, 1923. Hair-curling appliances.-A hair-curling device comprises a tubular rod a, Fig. 3, and an endless cord or band b. One part b<1> of the cord is passed through the rod a and the other part b<2> is brought over the outside of the rod, and threaded through the end of the part b<1>. To the end of the free part b<4> is secured an elastic ring c. In use, the end of a tress of hair is inserted between the rod a and the cord b<2>, the rod is rotated to coil the hair thereon, and the ring c then slipped over the end of the rod, as shown in Fig. 2. The ring c may be engaged in a notch or slot at the end of the tube, or over a peg inserted in the end of the tube. Alternatively, the free end of the cord may be secured to a peg adapted to be inserted in the end of the rod.
