Abstract
206,482. Fitte, L. Nov. 6, 1922, [Convention date]. Composite blocks.-Paving-blocks are formed in inverted position by disposing broken stones A of substantially pyramidal shape in a mould with their Ismaller faces downwards and filling in cement C until the stones are covered. The space above the cement is filled with concrete B, this part forming the base of the block when in position, so that the smaller sections of the large broken stones are at the top. The concrete B may be mixed with small broken stones. Each block may be coated with a layer D formed of a mixture of sand and tar. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the arrangement of the blocks in a road wherein three rows of blocks shaped as shown in Fig. 3 (Cancelled), are laid on each side of the road with their longitudinal axes parallel to the road axis, and the intermediate blocks are disposed at right angles to them. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
