Abstract
196,766. Batley, G., and Batley, J. March 9, 1922. Flues, external.-In a sectional boiler for use in a hot-water heating-system and having flue spaces between the sides of the boiler and the surrounding brickwork, the flue spaces are divided by horizontal plates which do not extend quite to the front of the boiler. The products of combustion escaping from the rear of a boiler A pass over the sides of the boiler in forward and backwards paths around the ends of horizontal plates D<1>. In a modification, the products pass forwards below the horizontal plates and backwards above the plates. Specification 134,050 is referred to.
