196,455. Dick, J. M. March 22, 1922. Addition to 165,019. Collapsable casks &c.-The collapsable barrel &c. described in Specification 192,269 is modified by arranging on the band e, Figs. 2, 3, and 4, an inwardly projecting flange d or a series of projections adapted to rest on the rim b of one of the barrel sections to ensure that the band is properly positioned with respect to the joint. The flange or projections may be angled or curved as shown to make the band self-centring. The band e may be shaped to form tapered recesses as shown in Fig. 2, or may be flanged at e<1> as shown in Figs. 3 and 4 to assist in retaining the packing.
