Abstract
23,426. Heenan & Froude, and Leask, H. N. Oct. 24. Conveying - apparatus.-Refuse or other material is fed down a reciprocating trough C into receptacles B which are carried on an endless band A into a position suitable for removal by independent means. The receptacles may be arranged in pairs on the band or upon a pair of bands, and the material may be fed into one set or the other down a reversible shoot D. A pair of reciprocating troughs C may be employed, to which the material is fed from a main conveyer E through a reversible shoot e and two conveyers F, F<1> leading to the troughs, or directly to one trough and by a conveyer to the other trough. Two or more sets of main and supplementary conveyers may be employed where it is desired to mix the materials.
