Catches, ball-ended.-Window-holders for sliding sashes of the type consisting of rollers e on the ends of spring plungers c fitted in casings on the frame, are locked in engagement with corrugated strips a on the sash stiles by a sliding bar mounted transversely of the plungers and provided with apertures n, through which the plungers normally slide, and with inclines o leading to the apertures n. When the bar k is slid, the inclines o engage the bevelled ends p of the plungers and force the rollers e in close contact with the corrugated strips on the sashes.
