Abstract
190,823. Cross, H. Oct. 1, 1922. Paving.-The longitudinal and transverse reinforcing bars 2 of concrete paving slabs are formed with eyes or loops 4 adapted to receive bars or keys 5 to connect adjacent slabs. The spaces between the slabs are filled in with a readily removable grouting, such as asphalt, to facilitate the removal of any portion of the paving. A top layer 7 of asphalt or the like may be used' to form the road surface. The slabs are bevelled where the ends of the reinforcing bars 2 project from the sides so that the upper portions may abut closely together.
