Abstract

188,309. Heusen, J. M. van. Nov. 2, 1921, [Convention date]. Fashioned fabrics; double and single fabrics combined.-In multiply fabric collars, to enable the edges to be turned in and stitched, the fabric is woven with portions 13, 14, Fig. 3, of interwoven multiply fabrics, the edge portions 15, 16 of divided layers and the portions 17 of tubular fabric. The fabric is woven with a curvilinear weave and the fold portion 3 is weakened for reversing or folding the. collar by omitting some of the threads, or by omitting to interweave. The divided layers at the. edge may be interwoven in pairs, as shown in Fig. 8, or may be interwoven on one side of the fabric, as shown in Fig. 4. This enables the edge to present the same appearance as the main portion of the collar on both sides or on one side only.
