Double and single f a b r i c s combined; double and multiple fabrics; fabrics with tubular portions.-To provide a shirt bosom of sufficient rigidity without starching, it is constructed of interwoven multiple-ply fabric 1<a>, which may have thin extensions 7 turned in and stitched to form the free edges of the bosom, and turned in at 10 and stitched at 8 to enclose the main shirt fabric 2. The bosom blanks may be cut from the interwoven multiple-ply fabric shown in Fig. 7 having tubular portions at 5 and 12 so that by cutting along the dot and dash lines blanks are obtained with divided extensions for turning in and stitching.
