Double and multiple fabrics; double and single fabrics combined; fabrics with tubular portions.- Multiply fabric collars of the stand-up type have the main portion of interwoven multiply fabric, and the edges and tabs of divided layers, one of which 9, as shown in Fig. 4, may be a double ply interwoven layer, and the other 10 may be single ply layer. Both layers may be interwoven double ply as shown in Fig. 8, the edges being turned in and stitched at 10<a>, 11<a>. The strip of fabric from which the collar blanks are cut may be, as shown in Fig. 3, with a main interwoven multiply part 2, a tubular part 3, and a part 4 with divided layers. One cf the divided layers and the corresponding layer of the tubular fabric are woven with an interweave identical in appearance with the main portion of the collar. For making wing collars, both divided layers may be of the same interweave as the main portion of the collar.
