Abstract

Pneumatic actuation.-A security indicator for carriage-door fastenings of the type described in Specification 20320/13, [Class 118 (i), Indicators &c.], has a valve switch controlled by the train vacuum pipe or the like so that the electrical circuit can only be closed when the engine is attached to the train. The switch comprises a spindle B connected to a spring-controlled diaphragm D and making contact upon operation of the vacuum with a seating V<1> through a member V thereon.
