Abstract

175,482. Harmer, F. E. Dec. 15, 1920. Chain-wheels; positive driving bands and pulleys.-V-grooved pulleys for Whittle and likelinked-belts are provided with oppositely-disposed radial projections 2 on the inner faces of the flanges 1 to engage between the links of the belt, so making the drive positive. The flanges 1 may be formed integrally with the projections 2, as pressings, and secured to the boss 3 by rivets 4 or by welding &c., or the pulley may be a casting. The projections 2 are tapered in cross-section and pointed at their ends.
