Positive-driving bands and pulleys.-A driving- belt of the link type is provided with a central row of chain links gearing with corresponding teeth on a pulley. As shown, the side links 3 of the belt run on the surface 4 of a pulley 2, and the chain links 1 have projections engaging pins 5, or the pulley may have projecting teeth engaging open or roller chain links. Teeth may be dispensed with on the larger of two pulleys around which the belt passes, a plain groove being formed to receive the projecting teeth of the chain. The belt may be formed of a substance known by the registered Trade Mark ' Fibrite,' and the rollers and certain other parts may be of metal.
