Abstract

150,201. Johnson, F. A. L. Nov. 6, 1919. Belts.-In a link belt, loose pins c connect single metal links b to pairs of leather links a, connected together by screws d. The links b have slots e provided with circular enlargements near the centre for the insertion of the pins c, which have necks at the middle to occupy the ends of the slots. The larger end portions of the pins engage in recesses in the links a, which may have non-extensible plates on their inner sides. The single slot e may be replaced by two small keyhole slots, or circular holes may be employed of a size to allow the larger portions of the pins to be passed through. Separate sleeves may be fitted on the pins c in place of the enlarged ends. The recesses in the links a may have metal liners.
